In 2023 every step we took brought us closer to our main goal: providing artists, gallerists, and curators, with top-notch art marketing tools, and growing a strong community around it. This was our north star, our guiding goal for the year, and we are happy to see it come true.
This past twelve months can be defined by a word: “Learning”. Every roadblock and even every success made us wonder, what was the lesson we needed to learn as a team. The results went beyond our wildest expectations and there is one reason for it: you were there on this journey. And for that, we want to thank you and every person who chose us to be their companions and best asset in their journey through the art world.
We shared with you how to make a habit of reviewing your year before setting your goals for the next 12 months, and we want to share our own process with you. Keep reading to discover what 2023 meant for ArtPlacer.

ArtPlacer’s goals for 2023: strengthening bonds and growing a community
No person is an island. We have quickly come to understand that building a community was not only a goal aligned with our ideas of growth but something that we wanted to do for the artistic community.
In 2023 we partnered with leaders in the industry who joined us in our quest, shared their knowledge, and helped us create new connections between artists, photographers, curators, illustrators, gallerists, and all kinds of creatives.
Our year started with the Art Marketing Bootcamp in partnership with Art NXT Level. Then came Women’s History Month and the chance to join forces with amazing women artists and curators who are paving the path for others like Alicia Puig, Ekaterina Popova, Gita Joshi, Piya Samant, Juliana Naufel, and JJ Galloway.
With these two amazing experiences, we felt motivated to go to the next level: a second event with Sergio Gomez and Art NXT Level the “Pitch Perfect Bootcamp” which gave us a chance to help our community create amazing proposals for their next art shows. The “Targeting Success series” with wildlife photographer Chase Teron helped artists understand their audience and how to build strong connections to increase their sales.
Then we had the incredible opportunity to partner up with Cory Huff from The Abundant Artist to do the “How to optimize your artist website for sales” webinar, and the week-long event “Ignite your career: The roadmap to a successful art show” with Gita Joshi, two events that brought our community closer with amazing content that helps them polish their online presence and even improve how they showcase their artworks and collections.
Overall, more than 5K people have joined our online live events, sharing their views and insights, engaging with each other, and giving life to the community.
You can rewatch all of these recorded events at ArtPlacer Academy by logging into your ArtPlacer account or starting your free trial.

New ArtPlacer launches in 2023
ArtPlace Academy was born from the intention of providing the artistic community with learning assets and contents that will help them achieve their goals. Here our users have the chance to join exclusive online live events with top hosts and industry experts making waves in the art world.
This is a space for learning where members of the artistic community can update their knowledge and develop new skills like art marketing and sales.
Showcase 3D objects and sculptures
Our Virtual Exhibitions keep evolving to enable artists and galleries to curate incredible visitor experiences that are visually striking and engaging. This year we had the aim for a new format: 3D objects and sculptures.
With just a few clicks you can upload a good quality picture of your sculpture with a transparent background to your digital gallery. The images of the sculpture always face the visitor’s point of view, creating a 3D-like effect, a full enhancement of their experience.
New galleries
This year we welcomed three new galleries to our array of available digital spaces to showcase artworks and collections, bringing the in situ experience of an art gallery to the online world.
Keith is a grungy space, perfect for curating urban, modern, or contemporary art shows, while Camille is a small gallery, polished, minimalistic and easy to curate. The last great addition was Nam June, a modern and spacey gallery thought for mixed media pieces and collections.

With the intention of providing our users with the best set of tools and assets to work on their creative and business goals, 2023 was the year we launched ArtPlacer Deals, an exclusive inventory of discounts and promotions on different services like packaging, printing, and shipping for their artworks.

How ArtPlacer improved its features in the past 12 months
Providing our community with valuable content is one of the main pillars of ArtPlacer, the other is the constant improvement of our art marketing tools, and ensuring we can offer every customer the best experience in the market.
Our team is focused on creating an amazing journey for each person in the ArtPlacer community. Besides enhancing our interfaces, our Knowledge Base went through a full revamp with improvements that will help you navigate ArtPlacer and all kinds of step-by-step tutorials to help you along the way.
Our Widgets were upgraded and it has never been easier to add this try-before-you-buy experience to your website with AR technology, Sample Rooms, and Client Rooms, that can solve potential art buyers’ doubts at the point of sale.
To reach a global audience we also added Hungarian as an available language for Website Integrations, adding to the experience of easily adding this feature to your website in any of our supported platforms like Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Shopify, Site123, Pixpa, PrestaShop, and GoDaddy.
We want it to help our users get the visibility they deserve, now they can directly share their Room Mockups layouts to their social media channels with just a few taps. This eases the process of sharing their artworks and engaging with their online community.
Plus, we added new curated Room Mockups collections. The ArtPlacer Team carefully selected spaces according to trends, styles, and user suggestions, to help you find the ones that fits your aesthetic like Small spaces, Plain Backgrounds, and Holidays.
Our Virtual Exhibitions also got the improvement treatment. We added a new tool to curate your online shows, the “Scale display”. Once you select an artwork and position it you can choose at which scale is going to be displayed to ensure an accurate and attractive layout in your exhibitions.
And because we know Virtual Exhibitions is one of the most used features by our global audience, we added a new supported language: German.
