Take a walk around Keith: a modern contemporary art gallery
When it comes to Virtual Exhibitions options, Keith pops in as a grungy space, perfect for curating urban, modern, or contemporary art shows. With 37 available spaces to showcase wall art and 8 spaces for sculptures.
To exemplify the myriad of possibilities this stylish space offers to artists, gallerists, and curators, we partnered with West Chelsea Contemporary Gallery to showcase a selection of artwork from different artists that captured NYC’s vibrant street art. Since 2002 WCC (formerly known as Russell Collection), focuses on presenting the work of 20th-century and contemporary art in a myriad of mediums, their catalog includes the work of emerging and mid-career artists as well as household names like Banksy and Damien Hirst.
This exhibition is a walk-through of some of the most influential artists from the 70s and 80s, who represent the boom of the graffiti art aesthetic and how it made its way from the streets into the art galleries.
This virtual exhibition explores the groundbreaking scene of a New York city covered in graffiti and features artists of international recognition that were influenced by the movement and also, nurtured it back, showing the unique dynamics of global graffiti culture.
In this exhibition, you can interact with the artworks of artists like Kenny Scharf, CRASH, Keith Haring, Zephyr, Fab 5 Freddy, Richard Hambleton, Blek Le Rat, Delta 2, Henry Chalfant, Richard Corman, Risk, and Lee Quinones.
How the right gallery space can enrich your art exhibition experience
There is an ideal space for each artwork, one that can give the visitor a fully rounded experience, and an understanding of its background and inspiration. It’s not only a matter of customization but is also a matter of availability: each space needs to evoke a certain aesthetic that serves as the stepping stone to curating high-quality exquisite online art shows.
With improvements like the addition of new gallery spaces, Lindsay Hamm, Director of Curation and Acquisitions at West Chelsea Contemporary, shared her experience using ArtPlacer to showcase their collections:
“ArtPlacer has quickly become a vital tool for our sales, marketing, and curation departments. As a national contemporary art gallery with locations in New York and Austin, we use ArtPlacer to layout our exhibitions proactively and share artworks with collectors on their own walls. My favorite feature is the ability to build your own walls, an easy way to lay out the various art fairs we attend throughout the year. I’ve loved working with the ArtPlacer team and look forward to seeing what they make next.”
Meet Camille: a polished and approachable gallery space
With the intention of offering our users a diverse range of options when it comes to digital gallery spaces, we have come up with Camille: an easy-to-curate small gallery, polished and minimalistic. It holds space for up to 24 artworks and 5 sculptures.
See the infinite possibilities this space offers for online art shows with Monika Morgenstern’s solo show that includes digital images and video pieces.
Now that you have met these new gallery spaces is time to curate and share your own exhibition to engage your audience.
