What started in 2019 as a side project, a small idea shared between colleagues who wanted to give artists and galleries better tools, has grown into a living, breathing platform shaped by the people who use it and the team behind it.
The mission was clear, even if the road ahead wasn’t. They wanted to create something valuable for artists and galleries. A tool that felt intuitive. A platform that gave art professionals an edge in an increasingly digital world. Six years later, that spark has become a full-fledged company with 16 dedicated team members, supporting thousands of creatives across the globe.
From that very first visualization tool to the recent launch of advanced features like Inventory Reports, Portfolios, and our CRM suite, the spirit behind every product has stayed the same: make life easier for artists and art sellers, and make art more accessible to those who love it.

A team that makes it happen
Behind every feature release, support ticket, and email campaign is a team that really believes in what we’re building. Developers who fine-tune the platform day in and day out; marketers who craft each message to connect with our community; product and design leads who keep listening and iterating; and the customer success team who talk to artists every day, answering questions, hearing their stories, and finding ways to help.
ArtPlacer is a place where art lovers, photographers, designers, cinephiles, and tech enthusiasts all collaborate to bring something unique to the table. Everyone’s voice counts, and that’s part of what makes our team so special.

ArtPlacer’s Customer Success team
Our Head of Customer Success, Camila Manzur, is the kind of person you want in your corner: thoughtful, patient, and endlessly good at finding the right words. She keeps our support work grounded and empathetic, no matter the challenge. She’s also been instrumental in the creation of the first five bespoke mobile apps powered by ArtPlacer. She’s joined by Juan Domínguez, a walking encyclopedia of fun facts (and random knowledge). He somehow knows a little bit about everything, and always at the right moment. Newer faces like Valeria Paoletti, the youngest of the crew, bring bright energy and a “let’s go” attitude to any task, while Carolina Palleros, always full of energy and fun anecdotes, brings a lighthearted spirit and plenty of laughs to the team.

The Marketing team with the founders
On the marketing side, Erica Goldemberg, Head of Marketing, combines her expertise in connecting with our community through creativity and a deep understanding of marketing, ensuring we always speak the right language to our users. Her efforts have helped build relationships with specialists in the art world, leading to live webinars and fostering our partnership with the Affordable Art Fair NYC, bringing valuable opportunities and education to artists and gallerists looking to grow their careers and businesses. Agostina Milani is the go-to person for all things visual and Room Mockup-related. Her ability to take on challenges and dive deep into the ArtPlacer community is unmatched.
“We have set up ArtPlacer Academy, a learning space for artists, gallerists, curators and art dealers, where they can access hours of recorded webinars with industry experts sharing insights on everything from art sales strategies to creating email campaigns to promote their pieces.” – Nicolas Michael, co-founder and CEO
Our developers are the ones turning our big dreams into real, working tools. Martin Zaleski, ArtPlacer’s CTO and co-founder, is primarily focused on shaping the company’s vision, ensuring that the platform evolves in ways that best serve the art community. Ezequiel Wajs is our go-to for both ingenious features and unexpected facts about space exploration.

ArtPlacer’s developers, designer and QA tester
Gaston Lisnovsky, our unofficial office DJ, Matías Greco, who’s always ready to jump in and tackle any task, and Alan Basavilbaso, who codes from the tranquility of the countryside, form the backbone of our development team. Together, they ensure features roll out smoothly, bugs get squashed, and the platform keeps running like clockwork. Meanwhile, Joel Goslani, our QA tester, ensures everything flows just right. He’s quiet, easygoing, and always pays attention to the details.
Our UX/UI designer, Carolina Aliotta, brings focus and grace to the user experience, thinking through how every click feels for our customers.
None of this would be possible without the combined vision and leadership of Nicolas Michael, CEO and co-founder, and Martin Zaleski, CTO and co-founder. Nicolas, an art lover and collector with a background in tech, is a regular at both local and international art fairs, staying closely attuned to the needs of the art world. Together with Erica Goldemberg, Camila Manzur, and Carolina Aliotta they form the core of ArtPlacer’s product team: a group that brings together user advocacy, design and technical expertise. This team is constantly listening, refining, and imagining how to make our tools more responsive to the everyday needs of art professionals. Their work ensures that ArtPlacer continues to grow as a platform built with and for the community it serves.

ArtPlacer in review
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to give real value to the art community. Whether it’s a solo artist sharing their latest work or a gallery preparing for an international fair, ArtPlacer exists to make that connection more powerful, more intuitive, and more meaningful. We believe that selling art today is about more than just transactions; it’s about building relationships, telling stories, and giving collectors the confidence to engage deeply with the work they love.
“From the start ArtPlacer wanted to make art-buying a fun and personalized experience for collectors, closing the gap between what they see in an exhibition and what they see once they take the art home.” – Nicolas Michael, co-founder and CEO
One of the first features we created was Personal Spaces, which allows people to upload pictures of their space, and digitally place artworks at scale, adding digital frames and mats to get a realistic preview of what the collector wants to purchase. For gallerists and art consultants, this used to take a lot of time and resources to create. Fast-forward to today, and that original spark continues to guide our work.
This year, we’ve launched ArtPlacer Presentations to help users communicate the value of their work in compelling ways, through Portfolio Presentations, Viewing Rooms, and more. These tools are built for hybrid selling; for conversations that happen at art fairs, in studios, or through a single email.
To support those moments, we also introduced CRM and lead generation tools, helping art businesses track, nurture, and grow their audiences. From capturing new leads through “Get in Touch” forms or gated Virtual Exhibitions, to managing conversations directly from the Contacts section, we’re making it easier to turn interest into connection, and connection into sales.
This year, we also returned to the Affordable Art Fair NYC Spring edition, continuing a partnership that began last year and has already brought ArtPlacer into closer contact with the global art community. Each fair offers new insights into what galleries, art consultants, and artists need most (and we take those lessons seriously!).

Looking ahead
The next chapter is already unfolding. We’re investing in ways to make ArtPlacer even more valuable and intuitive. One of the exciting developments on the horizon is the launch of a whole lot of new Smart Spaces and Room Mockups.
We’ve been inspired by the many galleries and artists we’ve met so far, whose success stories have highlighted how ArtPlacer tools help them connect with collectors and showcase their work in impactful ways. These success cases are guiding us as we refine and enhance our offerings.
If the past six years have shown us anything, it’s that community makes all the difference. We’ve had the privilege of growing alongside the people we set out to serve.
To every artist, curator, consultant, and gallery who trusted us: thank you. You’ve helped shape what ArtPlacer is today, and you’ll help define what it becomes next.
