What to expect from Pinta BAPhoto 2024
This year’s exhibition will explore the endless possibilities of photography as a medium in contemporary Latin America and take a deep dive into Buenos Aires as a cultural city.
In the main section of the show, over 55 galleries will exhibit the works of different photographers. In addition, photographers will exhibit their work curated by Joaquin Rodriguez and Bárbara Golubicki under the selection “Sección NEXT | Fuera de foco.” For the first time, a curatorial selection by Sebastian Vidal Mackinson will be shown, and it will be called “Sección Radar.”
Other available exhibitions include “Artista Homenaje,” a selection of works by Russian photographer Jaime Bolotinsky, which is under the curatorial eye of Francisco Medail. In celebration of Pinta BAPhoto’s twentieth anniversary, the exhibition will include the showcase “Special Project: 20 años” and “Video Project”, both curated by Irene Gelman.
Throughout the weekend, different conferences and debates will discuss photography as an art practice throughout Latin America. Plus, the exhibition will present “Photozine” and a selection of editorials specialized in photography.
ArtPlacer’s activation on Pinta BAPhoto 2024
The ArtPlacer team will be in situ during Pinta BAPhoto 2024 with a stand where all attendees, from visitors to exhibitors, photographers, and curators, will be able to have a free Art Wall Advisory session and experience our art visualization tools live.
This immersive experience already made a splash on the art fair scene with a presence at the Affordable Art Fair NYC Fall Edition 2024, where over 77 exhibitors plus thousands of artists and visitors had the chance to interact with ArtPlacer’s features.
From Online Portfolios coming to life with the curatorial works of all exhibitors to lead generation tools, our mix of digital and physical experiences will bring this exhibition to new heights, empowering galleries to showcase and improve their art-selling process. Both tools are easily accessible with a QR code in situ, easily fostering a dynamic virtual experience.
Furthermore, ArtPlacer will offer all exhibiting galleries with exclusive access to ArtPlacer Academy, a learning space for photographers, gallerists, and curators where they can learn the basics of art marketing and how to make use of these tools to reach their artistic and sales goals.
For all attendees, we will offer Art Wall Advisory sessions or “Sesiones de consultoría” where anyone can bring pictures of the space where they would like to showcase a selected artwork from the exhibition and digitally visualize it. These digital tools have a proven track record of improving sales records at fairs and exhibitions up to 60%.
If you want to be part of this experience, remember to bring a digital photo of the spaces where you would like to showcase any exhibited photographic work of your choice.
See you in Buenos Aires!
